The prevention

The dust formed at work of coupling and besieged on its details, can contain asbestos, unhealthy. Do not blow a dust the compressed air and do not inhale it. For removal of a dust do not use solvents on the basis of gasoline. For dirt removal use a cleaner for brake system.


Removal

Usually access to a coupling disk is carried out after transmission removal. Thus the engine remains in the car. If the engine is removed for major repairs, always use this possibility for coupling check on deterioration and, if necessary, replace it.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On тросовом a coupling drive disconnect a cable of coupling from a plug of deenergizing of coupling. On a hydraulic drive of coupling remove the working cylinder of coupling, without disconnecting from it a hydraulic hose and, using a soft wire, suspend the working cylinder of coupling in a motor compartment.
2. Remove a transmission. Thus a plug of deenergizing of coupling and выжимной the bearing remain in картере couplings.
3. Attentively check up a flywheel and press a disk on presence of labels (are specified by an arrow), and at their absence put them.
4. Using a screw-driver, fix a gear wreath of a flywheel from проворачивания. Gradually in diagonal sequence ослабьте bolts (are specified by arrows) leading knot of coupling, turning each bolt on half of turn until action of a spring and bolts will stop can be unscrewed manually.
5. At unscrewing of bolts of fastening of a leading part of coupling use special оправку for support of a leading part of coupling and a coupling disk.

Check

Usually, when there is a malfunction of coupling, it is connected with deterioration of a disk of coupling. However at this time it is necessary to check up all details of coupling.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check up a flywheel on presence of cracks, an overheat, scratches and other damages. If damages small, pierce a working surface of a flywheel.
2. Check up a condition of the bearing located in a back end face of a cranked shaft.
3. Check up a condition of overlays of a disk of coupling. Overlays should act on 1,6 mm over heads of rivets.
4. Check up a coupling disk on weakening of rivets, the deformation, the broken springs, cracks and other obvious damages (points of check of a condition of a disk of coupling are specified by arrows). Usually the coupling disk is replaced at the first possibility, therefore if there are doubts in its condition, replace its new.
5. Together with a coupling disk it is desirable to replace выжимной the bearing.
6. Check up a condition of a working surface of a press disk.
7. Check up petals диафрагменной springs. If the working surface of a press disk has flutes, scratches or damages, replace press a disk. If диафрагменная the spring is worn out or damaged or there is a suspicion that elasticity of a spring it is necessary to replace knot of a leading disk (see fig. condition Check диафрагменной springs of leading knot of coupling) has changed.

Installation

Before installation carefully wipe working surfaces of a flywheel and a press disk. It is important, that on these surfaces and on overlays of a disk of coupling there was no oil and greasings.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a disk of coupling and press a disk on a flywheel and by hand in diagonal sequence screw bolts of fastening of a press disk.
2. Centre a coupling disk, having inserted оправку through a coupling disk into the bearing in an end face of a cranked shaft. Gradually and in the sequence shown on fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of fastening of a leading part of coupling to a flywheel tighten bolts of fastening of a leading part of coupling to a flywheel.
3. Apply a thin film high-temperature greasing on a friction surface выжимного the bearing and working surfaces of a plug of deenergizing of coupling.
