6.2.7. The oxygen gauge
THE GENERAL DATA

The oxygen gauge measures the oxygen maintenance in a stream of exhaust gases. The oxygen gauge informs on the oxygen maintenance in exhaust gases by means of target pressure which can change from size 0,1 In (the big maintenance of oxygen, a poor mix), to size 0,9 In (the small maintenance of the oxygen, a rich mix). On the basis of a signal of the gauge of oxygen block ECM changes a proportion топливовоздушной mixes, operating duration of an impulse of opening of fuel atomizers. The proportion of a mix of 14,7 parts of air on 1 part of fuel is ideal for the minimum maintenance of harmful substances in exhaust gases. This proportion provides the most effective work of the catalyst.

On the gauge of oxygen there is no target pressure if its temperature below normal working temperature which is equal 320 to S.Vo time of warming up of the gauge of oxygen block ESM works in a mode of the broken off electric chain.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For check of working capacity of the gauge of oxygen connect to an electric socket of the gauge милливольтметр and at engine work check up the pressure created by the gauge of oxygen.
2. At start of the cold engine the oxygen gauge induces a signal in the form of constant pressure in size 0,1–0,2 В in two minutes of work the engine reaches optimum working temperature, and the signal of the gauge of oxygen starts to change in limits from 0,1 to 0,9 In (the closed chain). If the gauge of oxygen does not pass in a mode of the closed chain, or on it too much time is required, replace the oxygen gauge.
