Arrangement of the EGR-valve and the converter of return pressure

For reduction of emission of oxides of nitrogen the part of exhaust gases is taken away through system EGR valve in an inlet collector.

The system of repeated burning of the fulfilled gases consists of valve EGR, the electromagnetic valve, the pressure converter (ВРТ), the electronic control block (ЕСМ) and the vacuum lines connecting various components of system. The pressure converter (ВРТ) copes vacuum and doses out quantity of exhaust gases which is exposed to repeated burning. Block ESM on the basis of the information from gauges makes inclusion and deenergizing of system of repeated burning of the fulfilled gases.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start the engine in a mode of idling and warm up it to normal working temperature. Sharply open throttle заслонку so that engine turns have increased to 2000–3000 rpm and close throttle заслонку. Thus the EGR-valve rod should move.
2. If at check the EGR-valve rod does not move, check up all connections of a hose. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the valve and the manual vacuum pump create vacuum.
3. If the valve rod still does not move, replace valve EGR. If the valve rod, moves, check up a valve stroke which should make 3 mm. Also at completely open valve rough work of the engine should be observed up to a stop.
4. Create vacuum in a hose by means of the manual vacuum pump, then press a hose. Thus valve EGR should remain opened at least during 30 seconds Otherwise a valve diaphragm is punched, and it is necessary to replace valve EGR.
5. If rough work of the engine, probably is observed, valve EGR is not closed. In this case it is necessary to remove the valve and to examine it on presence of carbonaceous adjournment.
6. If valve EGR works normally, check up the electromagnetic valve. First of all check up passage of vacuum from the case of a throttle to the electromagnetic valve. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the electromagnetic valve and establish a manometre on a hose. At work of the cold engine the manometre should show vacuum of an inlet collector. At opening throttle заслонки the vacuum in a hose should decrease in inverse proportion to engine turns. Check up resistance of a winding of the electromagnetic valve which should be in limits 10–100 Ohm.

Replacement

VALVE EGR

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a wire of weight from the accumulator.
2. Remove a casing of the air filter.
3. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the EGR-valve.
4. Lift the car and fix on supports.
5. Remove an EGR-pipe from a final collector and lower the car.
6. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the EGR-valve.
7. Remove the EGR-valve with a lining from a collector.
8. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

ELECTROMAGNETIC VALVE EGR

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a wire of weight from the accumulator.
2. Lift the receiver an air inlet from the case of the air filter.
3. Disconnect an electric socket from the electromagnetic valve.
4. Mark and disconnect from the electromagnetic valve two vacuum hoses.
5. Unscrew the screw of fastening and remove the electromagnetic valve.
6. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
